Coach Bud staying longer!

I'm not sure why, but I always tell my wife Michaela that Coach Bud, head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, doesn't really fit the mold of a typical NBA coach...I don't know why, he seems like he's more likely to be a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman.

Nonetheless, he led his Bucks to the first championship in Milwaukee in 50 years, driving life into this town that we've needed so badly since COVID. The Buck announced this week that it has rewarded Coach Bud for his success with a multi-year contract extention...so we can start working on a repeat!

NBA.com notes "In his first two seasons as head coach of the Bucks, Budenholzer earned league-wide recognition. He was named the 2018-19 NBA Coach of the Year after his first season in Milwaukee and was one of three finalists for the 2019-20 award. Budenholzer has also been recognized by his peers in each of the last two seasons when he was named a co-recipient of the Michael H. Goldberg National Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year award, voted on by the NBA’s 30 head coaches."

cleanerThe contract is reportedly a three-year extension, keeping him in place through 2024, I guess he won't need to sell me a vacuum cleaner.
