Hard to believe, but today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Don McLean's legendary song AMERICAN PIE! It's a long song, more than double the standard length of a radio single, but still all these years later, it still resonates with new audiences and radio still plays the full version of the song....and let's be honest, most people can sing along to most of the song!
