Preview: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings - Week 1

It's the opening week of the 2020 NFL season, and the Green Bay Packers, for the third straight year, will open up against an NFC North opponent. It'll be the first time in team history that the Packers will play at the Minnesota Vikings to begin a season, and the third time in team history that Green Bay starts the regular season without any preseason or exhibition contests (1931 and 1933).

Last year, the Packers swept the season series for the first time since 2011 and sixth time in team history, and hold the advantage in the all-time series with the Vikings with a record of 62-54-3. The all-time series is tied in games played in Minnesota at 29-29.

Green Bay advanced to the NFC Championship in 2019 before falling to San Francisco. Both teams enter as the prime contenders for the NFC North crown, having combined for 10 of the past 12 division titles.
