Brewers fall 4-1 to Reds Saturday evening

Eugenio Suarez hit a three-run home run in the first inning and Anthony DeSclafani threw six shutout innings as the Reds beat the Brewers 4-1 on Saturday evening at Miller Park.

Brett Anderson pitched into the fourth inning before giving way to Corbin Burnes, who went the rest of the way with eight strikeouts in five and one-third innings pitched.

Brock Holt drove in Ben Gamel for the Brewers' only run, in the bottom of the eighth inning when Milwaukee was trailing then 4-0.

Milwaukee dropped its second straight game to the Reds and fell to 5-7 on the season.

The series concludes Sunday at Miller Park with a 1:10 p.m. first pitch.
