New EricCast: Ray Parker, Jr.: His amazing career, ghosts, & upcoming show

You know him as the writer and singer for the blockbuster song "Ghostbusters" that helped propel the blockbuster movie of the same name. You may recall his 1982 hit "The Other Woman," or his work leading Raydio for songs like "You Can't Change That," "A Woman Needs Love (Just Like You Do)," and "Jack and Jill." But did you know he started playing clubs in his native Detroit as a teen, and that The Spinners were the first group to have him play with them? Did you know, that at age 18, he toured the world with Steve Wonder as the icon's lead guitarist on the World Tour he embarked on with The Rolling Stones? Did you know he wrote the 1974 hit "You Got the Love" for Rufus & Chaka Khan, as well as writing and performing with everyone from Diana Ross to The Carpenters to Dizzy Gillespie?

Ray Parker Jr. has had a fascinating career, and he's not done. After pulling back a bit to be a father to his family, he's on tour again - including a stop in Milwaukee and the Northern Lights Theater at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on Thursday, February 6th - and his new album and documentary is coming out soon. Find out more in my latest EricCast podcast episode, where Ray and I talk about what's he done, what's he up to, and what to expect when you see him, here:
