If you haven't seen it, a new video from Gillette called"First Shave, the Story of Samson" has been making the rounds. It features a transgender man shaving for the very first time . . . and his father is next to him giving pointers.
This isn't the first controversial commercial from Gillette, known for their men’s shaving products.
Recently, they had a commercial which addressed the MeToo movement, sexual harassment, and bullying. The advertisement used the same tagline that the company has been using for the past 30 years – “The best a man can get.” But this time, it took on a completely new vision which got some of Gillette’s customers angry and confused, as some have called out the brand for “insulting their user base.”
