The Parkinson's Foundation will host its annual Moving Day Milwaukee, A Walk for Parkinson's, on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Wauwatosa's Hart Park at the Chestnut Street Picnic Area. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m., and the 2 mile walk will begin at 10:30 a.m.
More than just a walk, Moving Day Milwaukee is a celebration of movement featuring a kids' area and a special Movement Pavilion with yoga, dance, Tai Chi and other activities - all proven to help manage Parkinson's symptoms. Moving Day will take place rain or shine.
With approximately 400 participants expected, Moving Day Milwaukee will unite the local community in the fight against Parkinson's disease. Registration is free, and participants are encouraged to fundraise for the Parkinson Foundation.
Since 2011, Moving Day events across the country have raised more than $22 million to improve care and advance research toward a cure.
