Alicia Keys Performed 'Raise A Man' With 9-Year-Old Son Egypt Playing Piano

Not only did Alicia Keys take home the Innovator Award at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night (March 14), the songstress shared a very special moment with her 9-year-old son Egypt Dean. During her moving performance of 'Raise a Man', Alicia was joined by Egypt on stage. It's sure to be a memory they'll cherish for a lifetime.

Egypt played piano alongside his mom as she belted out the lyrics to 'Raise a Man.' Having Egypt on stage as she sang was a living embodiment of her song. For those unfamiliar with Alicia's song, the lyrics tell a story about raising your sons to be good men: "Somebody made a man/To show me how to raise a man/Raise a man/You can't be a man/If we don't raise a man/Raise a man/If you want a man/Then you gotta raise a man."

Alicia's collaboration with Egypt was heartwarming, even if he took his moment in the spotlight to show of his flossing skills.

Earlier in the night, Alicia gave an empowering speech about self-love and acceptance while accepting her innovator award. "I looked inside my heart and I realized that I am here to just dome. We are here dous, you know? It’s crazy … I know how it feels … all we can think about is how to be liked, and how to be accepted and we contort ourselves and change ourselves and starve ourselves and abuse ourselves and hate ourselves and instead, all we gotta do is just love who we are," she said. "That’s all we gotta do. All we really need to do is appreciate our individuality and embrace what makes us unique because in the end, you’re remembered because you’re different. Because you’re special.”

Egypt is definitely in good hands. Congratulations again, Alicia!
