Pirates, Kites, Rides, and Tacos yet this weekend!

We had a stormy start to Saturday and while we might get a little more overnight tonight, it's now PRIME TIME to get out and enjoy this first weekend of June! It's pleasantly cooler near the lake, so head up to Port Washington for their Pirate Festival, which features a Thieves Marketplace, a Gruel Galley, a Buccaneer Bash, Parade, Children’s activities, demonstrations, educational exhibits, musicians, comedians, a Pirate Ship & much more. Tonight is the Harborview 8K Run (that’s 5 miles in case you forgot we were all supposed to be on the metric system by like 1980 - remember that from school??)

Also along the lakefront down in Kenosha, the Outta Sight Kite Flight Festival runs through 5pm tomorrow. With the sun and wind, it's a colorful sky over Veterans Park! Check out a meal at Frank's Diner (try their garbage plate) before or browse the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of beers to choose from at Uncle Mike's after. :)

Hopefully the weather holds out tomorrow morning for the UPAF Ride for the Arts, which will have nearly 7,000 bicyclists ride routes of up to nearly 70 miles to raise money for our United Performing Arts Fund. Online registration is over, but you can still register on-site in the morning. Remember, the Hoan Bridge and portions of I-794 will be closed tomorrow morning from 5am until around 10 or 11!

And tomorrow (Sunday), it's Milwaukee Taco Fest at the Harley-Davidson Museum! Tacos outside on a beautiful from noon-8pm as many local Milwaukee restaurants come together for a day of taco tasting, tequila, margaritas, cervezas and great entertainment, including lucha libre wrestling from Mondo Lucha! And... tacos. Need we say more?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and let 95.7 BIG FM make it even better with great tunes all weekend long! Don't forget, you have 4 chances every day to win Summerfest tickets starting Monday.
