I need to start this blog by saying that I do not claim to know whether information in the article I came across is 100% factual. There are pictures but again I didn't do any of the research on it. I'm just posting about it because I find it interesting whether people take a stance or just move on when they learn something negative about a company, band, etc. that they like. I've always heard that you should never meet your idol or favorite band/artist because you will be so disappointed if they turn out to be rude or unfriendly, etc. As in they don't live up to your standards or what you had imagined.
According to an article on theearthchild.co.za, the owner of Jimmy John's, Jimmy John Liautaud, goes to South Africa to trophy hunt. There are pictures in the article that show him with an endangered female Black Rhino. The article states that he bought her (for $350,000) to kill her and take her horn as a trophy. I don't want to get too much into what can be seen on the article as I didn't write it and think it best if you read it and make your own opinion on this. Read more here.
What I do want to know is this: Would learning/hearing this about the owner of Jimmy John's make you boycott the restaurant?
