Meteor Streak Lit Up the Wisconsin sky Monday

Let's go streaking!!!

That's what a meteor said when it plunged through Earth's atmosphere on Monday morning - very, very early Monday morning. Meteors falling and burning up is a phenomenon that happens, oh, thousands of times a day. But in the night sky, sometimes they put on a brilliant show - and that's just what you may have seen above us if you were out and around 2am Monday morning. The meteor was visible not only here in Wisconsin, but across parts of Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.

Luckily for us, a number of camera monitors and police cruisers caught the show, and some video of it can be seen here!
