The First Cellphone

If I say, "leave your phone in your car all day while you work", I'm guessing for most, it wouldn't even be in the realm of possibilities. Aside from the fact that most of us get kind of jittery when we're more than a few feet from our phones, most of us couldn't get work done without it (I need my phone just to login to my work computer with two-tiered security).

I bet when Marty Cooper, a former engineer at Motorola, made the first cell phone call 50 years ago this week, he never imagined how the world would change forever! NBC's Today Show talked to Marty about that first call.
