Let's be honest, when it to music, it really cannot get more subjective. One person's masterpiece makes another's ears bleed. However, we can all agree there are certain songs that are more suited for rolling down the windows, cranking up the volume, and singing as loud as humanly possible.
With that, I present you with the 20 Best Driving Songs of All Time, according Parade. Of course, a quick google search will reveal about as many of these lists as there are songs in the world...but these are pretty strong:
- I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Hager
- No Particular Place To Go - Chuck Berry
- Little Red Corvette - Prince
- Born To Run - Springsteen
- Here I Go Again - Whitesnake
- Welcome To The Jungle - Guns N' Roses
- Sweet Home Alabama - Skynard
- Take It Easy - The Eagles
- Route 66 - Chuck Berry
- Home Remix - Phil Collins and Bone, Thugs, & Harmony
- Holiday Road - Lindsey Buckingham
- I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
- On The Road Again - Willy Nelson
- Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
- Don't Stop Believing - Journey
- Danger Zone - Kenny Loggins
- Life Is A Highway - Tom Cochrane
- Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
- Jack & Diane - Mellencamp
- No Sleep Til Brooklyn
Also, honorable mention has to go to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, which topped a similar list I once saw. I've got to wonder how much Wayne and Garth had to do with that though!
