While trying out his new E-Bike at his home in Malibu, America's Got Talent judge and former American Idol judge Simon Cowell crashed, breaking his back in several places. On Saturday night he was taken to the hospital where he underwent a five-hour surgery.
On Monday afternoon, while recuperating, Cowell took to Twitter to say "Some good advice ... If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages". He went on to day also say "And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met."
