When the pandemic hit, the hottest item in the world quickly became hand sanitizer and it was in short supply.
In response, many companies that did not normally produce it but we able, helped curb the demand. Such is the case with the Apollo Bay Distillery in Australia. According to Food & Wine, the distillery accidentally labeled and sold some of the bottles of hand sanitizer as gin. Imagine if you can getting a glass and some ice out, and thinking you’re going to pour a drink, only to find hand sanitizer. Although, it’s been in such high demand, maybe people would have been happy.
The company spokesperson said that only 9 bottles were sold and have been recovered.
