While most production in Hollywood came to a stretching halt when the pandemic hit, American Idol pressed on with it’s season and we’re ready to name a new Idol this Sunday night. The finalists never got to perform on that iconic stage as they all sang each week from their homes using equipment sent to them by American Idol producers. As usual, the Idol finally will feature a bunch of celebs and former contestants. Each of the judges will perform, including a Lionel Richie lead performance of “We Are The World”. Also performing will be Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Kathrine McPhee, Phillip Phillips, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, and my favorite, Ruben Studdard.
The Idol finale runs live on Sunday night on ABC followed by a Taylor Swift concert special.
