Texas woman blows up wedding dress after divorce; blast felt 15 miles away

I lived in Texas for seven years, and they love bragging on how big things are down there.

One brand new divorcee in Texas actually did go big - with a literal bang. After Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler's divorce was finalized after 14 years of marriage, she enlisted the help of a local bomb technician, packed the dress with massive load of explosive Tannerite, got far away, and then shot it with a high-caliber rifle to ignite the blast as party-goers attending the event looked on. The result? An explosion that could be heard 15 miles away.

“We were all getting messages asking if that was our explosion people were feeling and hearing around the county, up to at least 15 miles away. It was liberating pulling that trigger. It was closure for all of us," she said.
