Green Bay Packers' pre-season schedule released

The 2019 Green Bay Packers will play their 101st season this fall, with a lot of changes after a very disappointing 2018 campaign.

Gone are a number of longtime players, including Clay Matthews and Randall Cobb, as well as Coach Mike McCarthy. Matt LaFleur is at the coaching helm now, and along with new some additions on both sides of the ball - particularly defense - its hard to tell just how this new season will go.

We already knew this: the regular season starts with the Bears. Green Bay and Chicago square off at Soldier Field on Thursday, September 5th, to kick off the NFL's 100th season showcasing the oldest rivalry in the league. We've also known the Packers' home opponents will be the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings. Road opponents will include the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings. Specific dates will be announced later this spring.

And now, we know four more things: the preseason games the Packers will play and against whom. Who? Whom? Whichever one is the proper grammar, use it.

So for the 2019 NFL Preseason:

Week 1 (Aug 8-12): Green Bay vs. Houston (Home)

Week 2 (Aug 15-19): Green Bay at Baltimore (Away)

Week 3 (Aug 22-25): Green Bay vs. Oakland (Home)

Week 4 (Aug 29-30): Green Bay vs. Kansas City (Home)

Yup, three home games for the preseason, only one away.

More specifics will be released soon, you can always keep track of updates on the Schedule page of the Packers website.
